Azerbaijani living in Azerbaijan and abroad, with the support of the International Solidarity Group, held an international conference in an online format called “The Great Silk Road – economy, culture, unity, peace”. In addition to Azerbaijan, MPs, scientists, public figures, diaspora leaders, teachers, young people, ladies, journalists, political scientists, researchers, cultural figures from Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Australia, Jordan, Oman, England participated in the event.
Mubariz Göyüşlü, the chairman of the Union of Modern Development, department head of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS, teacher of BSU, spoke first about the international conferences held in this format, their importance, and the efficiency of the work done. M. Goyushlu emphasized the active participation of the International Solidarity Group in the organization of the event.
PhD in political sciences, political scientist Ghalib Aga spoke about the support provided by the International Solidarity Group to the organization of the international conference. Emphasizing the importance of the Great Silk Road, he called this road the “Turan Road”.
Mohammed Jabrayilov, head of the Department of Philosophy Institute of ANAS, doctor of philosophy, head of the Scientific Strategic Research Center of the Turkic World, spoke on the topic “Geopolitical significance of the Great Silk Road: realities and perspectives”. M. Jabrayilov talked about Azerbaijan’s active participation in geopolitical processes. He spoke about the importance of the historic Silk Road, its geopolitical and geoeconomic significance.
Deputy Jeyhun Mammadov spoke about the international double standards against Azerbaijan. For this very reason, he considered it important that the public should expand international activities. J. Mammadov characterized the organization of such an international conference as a positive event and spoke about the importance of continuing these activities in the future. According to him, it is very important to promote the Middle Corridor, the historical Silk Road, and carry out works dedicated to its importance.
Teacher of Gazi University of Turkey, head of “Silk Road” History, Culture, Art Research Association, Assoc. dr. Fahri Atasoy spoke on the topic “Cultural influence on the Silk Road in the period of globalization”. It is an important project that brings peoples and states closer to each other.
Associate professor of ADPU, historian Mubariz Aghalarli spoke on the topic “The Great Silk Road yesterday and today: evaluation from the historical aspect”. He said that the Silk Road is also a historical process. M. Aghalarli pointed out that trade and travel from China to Europe were carried out on the Silk Road in ancient times. The historian scientist also spoke about the history of the term Silk Road.
Fuad Huseynzadeh, the chairman of the Public Association of Support of Journalists for Diaspora Activities, touched on the anti-Turkish activities of Armenians and the international smear campaign. He voiced concrete proposals to fight against it.
Kheyransa Mirzayeva, an employee of the St. Petersburg State University of Russia, the chairperson of the St. Petersburg-Azerbaijan Culture Center, touched on the importance of the cultural factor in the development of nations, and spoke about the fight against Armenian lies in this direction in the city where she lives.
Retired teacher Aydin Allahverdiyev spoke about the threats to the Turkish people in the modern world. He spoke about the importance of writing the cultural history of the Turkic peoples and that it can play an important role in the integration of the Turkic world.
Fatih Yurttaş, a teacher of Turkey’s Nişantaşı University, a program host on Bengü Türk TV, called the Silk Road the Turkish road. He talked about the activities carried out against Turkish countries in the world and called everyone to be active against it.
President of the Australia-Azerbaijan Association Mikayil Oyta spoke about the importance of the Silk Road, including the Zangezur corridor. He said that this road from China to Europe is the “Turan road”.
At the end, the participants of the event emphasized the importance of continuing the work in this direction and organizing useful activities in this direction by the International Solidarity Group.
