Schools that meet modern standards are being built in the region for the education of the new generation
President Ilham Aliyev regularly visits the regions. If it is noticed, the visits of the head of state to the regions freed from occupation are organized more often. As we know, the head of state visited Karabakh on October 15-17. Within the framework of this visit, the President also visited Fuzuli district and met with residents who moved to Fuzuli city and representatives of the district community on “Fuzuli City Day”. At this meeting, Mr. President also spoke about the construction works being carried out in Fuzuli district: “Fuzuli is now being completely rebuilt. Over the months, the number of people living here will increase. More than 800 people have already settled. About 2,000 people will live here by the end of the year.” Currently, improvement works are ongoing in Fuzuli district. All these construction works in the district are being built according to the “I State Program on the Great Return to the territories freed from occupation of the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 16, 2022. During his visit, Mr. President was interested in the affairs of the region and participated in a number of opening and groundbreaking ceremonies. Thus, on October 15, President Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the construction progress of the Aghdam-Fuzuli highway. It should be noted that the construction of the road from Barda to Aghdam and Fuzuli, as well as in the opposite direction, will provide a comfortable commute and will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development along the road. The newly founded villages were designed in a modern style while preserving historical traditions. In order to save energy, it is planned to use alternative energy and build heat-efficient houses. In the villages, there is a multi-functional administrative building, the Flag Square, a cafe-restaurant, a ceremony house, a bakery, a pharmacy, a sports club, a family health center, a secondary school with 312 students, a kindergarten with 50 places, recreation and green areas, a club-community center, a library, the construction of a commercial facility, a market, a guest house is planned.
Also, Mr. President laid the foundations of the second and third residential complexes, a sports complex, a kindergarten, and an administrative building in the city of Fuzuli. Let’s also say that in accordance with the Fuzuli City Master Plan, it is planned to build residential quarters that will meet modern requirements in order to ensure a high standard of living of the population. The second and third residential complexes to be built consist of two areas located in a multi-functional zone.
Let us note that special attention is always paid to the education of children and young people in Azerbaijan, to strengthening their social protection, to their patriotic and healthy upbringing. This issue is also in the focus of attention in the territories freed from occupation.Educational institutions that meet modern standards are also being built here for the education of the new generation. Addressing this issue at the meeting, Mr. President said that school and family are important factors for young people to return to our native land: “We did not let young people forget their native land. We did not allow the Karabakh topic to be deleted. However, there were many countries and forces that wanted to instill this in us.” By the way, as a gift from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on behalf of the Uzbek people, a complete school No. 1 with 960 seats was built in Fuzuli named after Mirza Ulugbey. On August 23 of this year, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, first lady Mehriban Aliyeva and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva participated in the opening ceremony of this school. At the meeting with the residents of Fuzuli, the female teacher of that school spoke and told Mr. President her heartfelt words: “…today – October 17, Fuzuli holiday – “Fuzuli City Day” is really both a happy and proud day for us Fuzuli residents. Today, the reconstruction of our Fuzul – our beautiful Fuzul, which was under occupation for 30 years and subjected to Armenian vandalism, in a more beautiful and modern way – is really a very happy moment for us. We are already residents of Fuzuli, we live here permanently, and we welcome you on behalf of the staff of Mirza Ulugbey School No. 1.”
When the President of Azerbaijan talks about the Karabakh issue and the territorial integrity of our state, he always remembers our martyrs. He especially mentions those who were martyred on this road while being in the territories liberated from occupation. At the meeting with the representatives of the community of Fuzuli district, the head of state said that we express our deep respect to the memory of our dear martyrs: “We are indebted to them for today. This is the truth. No matter how much strength the state has, how many weapons it has, how well military operations are planned, it is the soldier and the officer who achieves the victory”. has taken place. These meetings increase people’s trust and confidence in President Ilham Aliyev.
