During 2024, KOBIA presented the “Dayag” award to 15 business entities that applied innovative and modern approaches in their business, produced export-oriented products and services, were distinguished by active investment activity and contributed to employment.
Taking into account the contribution of entrepreneurs to the country’s economy, the “Dayag” award has been presented to business representatives for 3 years. The purpose of the “Dayag” award, which was established by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) in 2022, is to reward companies that apply innovative and modern approaches in their business, produce export-oriented products and services, stand out for their active investment activity, and contribute to the provision of employment. to stimulate them, as well as to bring the successes of entrepreneurs to the public’s attention, to promote business thinking, and to further strengthen the relations between the public and private sectors. The “Dayag” award, which has a symbolic meaning, is also an indicator that the state is always with the entrepreneurs.
An event was held with the support of the Ministry of Economy and the organization of KOBIA to present the “Dayag” award to entrepreneurs in 2024. The event, which was held with the participation of representatives of state institutions, parliamentarians, entrepreneurs, representatives of international organizations, began with the singing of the national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a minute’s silence in memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our land.
The speaker at the event Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and Elnur Aliyev, First Deputy Minister of Economy, have achieved in 2024 in the private sector in the socio-economic field of our country. They reported on the successes achieved, the role of entrepreneurs in ensuring employment, and innovations in the field of economy and entrepreneurship in the coming years. Member of the Milli Majlis Nigar Arpadarai, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev and Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA Orkhan Mammadov spoke about legislative initiatives in the field of entrepreneurship, the role of SMEs in stable and sustainable economic development, green transition, and public-private cooperation. they shared their thoughts about it.
Then 15 successful business entities in 2024 were presented with “Dayag” awards in various nominations by the heads of state institutions. Entrepreneurs “Tourism”, “Active foreign company”, “Active exporting company”, “Successful farmer”, “Young entrepreneur”, “Successful female entrepreneur”, “Investor of the year”, “Disability is not a limitation”, “Innovative solutions”, ” Successful startup”, “Successful company in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”, “Halal business”, “Successful business in liberated territories”,They were awarded in the nominations “Green business promotion” and “Clean environment and green growth”.
Also, by KOBIA, the Azerbaijan Ground Transport Agency was awarded the award in the nomination “Efficient organization of G2B services” in SME houses.
Within the event, grant awards were presented to 20 winners of the 6th grant competition announced by KOBIA in order to finance the projects of SMEs in the fields of education, science, research and support. It should be noted that 6 grant competitions have been held so far to support the financing of the projects of SMEs in the fields of education, science, research and support, and within the framework of these competitions, 1.7 million manats of grant funds have been allocated to 99 projects of SMEs.
