Weather forecasts and warnings in Azerbaijan will be prepared with a new model

A meeting was held between the experts of the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the employees of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan within the framework of the twinning project (Report.az). At the meeting, presentations were made by foreign experts on the application of the SMART MET and SMART MET ALERT models, and the adaptation and application of this model for Azerbaijan was discussed with the employees of the Service. At the same time, the methods of preparing weather, flood forecasts and warnings were presented to the employees of the Service in Finland by means of this model.
