Azerbaijan no longer has internal threats

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is a regional intergovernmental organization that operates to serve mutually equal and beneficial cooperation among member states. The CIS was founded on December 8, 1991 by the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the basis of the “Agreement on the Establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States” signed in Minsk. I reminded that on September 24, 1993, at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, a decision was made to accept the Republic of Azerbaijan as a member of the CIS. The relations of our republic with the CIS, including bilateral relations with individual states included in the organization, are based on the principle of mutual respect and serve national interests. On October 11, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the participants of the 53rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Security and Special Service Bodies of the CIS Member States. Emphasizing that there are close contacts in all areas, including security strengthening, the head of state said: Azerbaijan has always attached great importance to participating in the work of the CIS. There are close contacts in all directions and in the field of strengthening security”, the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who also emphasized the importance of constant operative information exchange, said: “Information, including its acceptance and reaction, is of great importance. Of course, close interaction between our countries creates great opportunities for cooperation aimed at sincere, purposeful results and prevention or elimination of possible threats.” However, stressing that Armenian patrons in the West resorted to disgusting provocation and false campaign against Azerbaijan and accused us of everything, the head of our state said: “France plays the main violin here, and this is both in the statements of the officials of the country in question, and in attempts to discredit Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan it manifests itself in the media campaign against which everything is presented upside down.
