Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti and Arab Electronic Media Unions Faisal Khalifa Al-Sawvag issued a statement condemning the provocations of the illegal Armenian military units in the Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani embassy in Kuwait told AZERTAC that the statement stated:
“We strongly condemn the terrorist act that resulted in the death of civilians and military personnel due to the explosion of pre-installed mines on the Ahmedbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway by Armenian intelligence-sabotage groups illegally located in the Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan on September 19.

In order to ensure the safety of the civilian population, including civilian workers and military personnel involved in the reconstruction work in the territories liberated from occupation, we demand the disarmament and withdrawal of the Armenian armed groups from the territories of Azerbaijan. At the same time, we call on Armenia to comply with the provisions of the tripartite Declaration signed on November 10, 2020.
We congratulate the leadership and people of Azerbaijan on the full guarantee of sovereignty in the lands of Karabakh. At the same time, we inform you that information about the provocations of the Armenian armed forces illegally stationed in the Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan was widely covered in the mass media of Kuwait.”
