Our compatriots also participated in the “Road to Berlin” event held in Murmansk on the occasion of Victory Day

Dear my compatriots! It is already 79 years old, celebrated on May 9 – Day of Victory over Fascism. This victory was not easy at all. Hundreds, thousands of our compatriots gave their lives for this victory. Our grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought bravely and courageously far beyond the borders of their native Azerbaijan, and also defended their native Azerbaijani land. More than 170 thousand citizens of Azerbaijan have been awarded orders and medals, and 130 of our compatriots have been awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. In honor of Victory Day, the Festival of National Cultures “One Road to Berlin” was held in Murmansk. Mehdi Afigovich Fayazov, deputy chairman of the Murmansk Regional Public Organization “Cultural Center of Azerbaijan” spoke at the event. He congratulated all the guests on the holiday and told about his grandfather – Faradzhov Fayaz Kasym oglu. And at the end, he read a poem by the great Azerbaijani poet Samed Vurgun “Azerbaijan” in his native Azerbaijani-Turkic language. Mehdi Fayazov was awarded a diploma for this.
