On November 4, 2023, in the town of Balashikha near Moscow, the annual 6th festival of national cultures, dedicated to National Unity Day, was held at the Balashikha Palace of Culture.
For the 6th year in a row, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Azerbaijan National-Cultural Autonomy, Mr. Balashikha Amilya Agayeva Azerbaijani culture was adequately represented at the event.
The program included an exhibition with a tasting of national dishes, as well as a concert program.
The program from Azerbaijan included such dishes as Shah pilaf, dolma from grape leaves, shekerbura, baklava, halva, and also a feature that attracted a huge queue – a master class on cooking qutab with herbs. Guests could see with their own eyes how a masterpiece of national Azerbaijani cuisine is created, and also try them.
The concert program from Azerbaijan included the ensemble “Karabakh” with two fiery dances “Azərbaycan” and “Naz eləmə” and a brilliant performance by the young star Azer Nasibov, who performed Muslim Magomayev’s immortal hit “Spring Land – Azerbaijan”. It is worth noting that the young performer Azer Nasibov is a finalist of the famous television project “The Voice of Children”, as well as a participant in the project “The Voice is no longer children” this year.
