“APA-Economics” reports that Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alakbarov said this during his speech at the event “Artificial Intelligence in the New Generation Economy: Challenges and Opportunities”.
“The preparation of the New Generation Economy Strategy of Azerbaijan has already begun. 9 main projects that will contribute to the economy by 2030 by covering the state, private and civil society, and within the framework of these projects 69 areas of activity to support economic growth in Azerbaijan, increase the competitiveness of sectors, and facilitate citizens’ access to services and ensuring the widespread use of digital technology to promote the improvement of public services is one of the most important tasks facing our ministry. The implementation of this Strategy in the new era includes strengthening business transformation in Azerbaijan, increasing potential, building a model enterprise and a new generation technological center that envisages the wide application of 4SI technologies, creating Digital Twins and implementing the “Local Generative Artificial Intelligence” initiative, encouraging entrepreneurship and providing favorable infrastructure. will create a foundation for development in all areas until it is supported. The “Local generative artificial intelligence” initiative aims to stimulate the development of generative AI platforms that are fluent in the Azerbaijani language and host Azerbaijani content. The aim of the initiative is to protect Azerbaijan’s cultural wealth, increase the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence in the country, promote economic growth, and stimulate the creation of new technology-based jobs and industries,” the deputy minister noted.
