With the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Public Union of Youth for Democratic Azerbaijan (DANIB) carried out the project “Promoting our traditional family model and national-spiritual values in the fight against the harmful effects of globalization, organizing events” Ucar and He held an event in the cities of Goychay. Before the start of the meeting, the souls of our martyrs who died for the protection and restoration of our territorial integrity were remembered with a respectful posture.
DANIB Chairman Elmaddin Behbud, who spoke at both meetings, said that the goal of the project is to strengthen the awareness of the Azerbaijani society about the importance of protecting our national family values and the dangers caused by the moral erosion created by the wave of globalization. Elmaddin Behbud emphasized that it is the duty of each of us to preserve the national and moral values that enrich the spiritual world of our people, nourished by our history and culture, and strengthen our unity. The chairman of DANIB said that those who love and protect the family, which is the essence and the first protector of our spirituality, protect their land and homeland, and those who are attentive to their family have a sensitive attitude towards society. E. Behbud said that protecting family identity did not create special difficulties for societies in the times when technology and communication were poorly developed. Unfortunately, in the current global world, the situation in this area is not so encouraging. This poses serious threats to our future. In this respect, protecting our family institution, which is based on our traditional national and moral values, is also protecting our state.
Vugar Samadov, a teacher of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, doctor of philosophy, gave an extensive speech on the topic. Vugar Samadov knew that the spiritual-psychological atmosphere existing in every family has a serious effect on the person formed in that environment, and this will permeate the society in the future. Propagation of uncharacteristic behaviors, completely alien worldview, rules of coexistence, and in some cases harmful ideas in the mass media, especially in social media, at any time of the day leads to misdirecting current teenagers and young people. Not only the relevant state institutions, but also every citizen should fight and try to contribute to the work of preserving our national and moral values and passing them on to future generations so that the dangerous propaganda examples that have become a global trend cannot find a place in our society. V. Samadov, referring to the national and religious values of our people, stressed the relevance and importance of maintaining high moral qualities for all times.
The participants of the event expressed their opinions and raised their questions to the expert. The booklet published on the topic of the project was distributed to the participants of the event held in both cities.
