In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 25, 2023 on the declaration of 2024 as the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World” in the Republic of Azerbaijan, a tree planting campaign was held in the Khazar region.
On March 30, the head of the Khazar District Executive Authority Elshan Salahov and his deputies, the chairman of the YAP Khazar district organization, Namig Ahmadov, the head of the Khazar District Executive Authority and his deputies, “Dendrology Garden” held an action in Gala settlement jointly organized by the Khazar District Executive Authority and the public legal entity “Dendrology Garden”. ” Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of PHSH, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Associate Professor Samira Bagirova, representatives of the institution, heads of administrations, enterprises and organizations, members of the families of martyrs and representatives of the district community took part.
200 pyramidal pine trees were planted and watered by the participants of the action and agrotechnical care was provided to them. Poles were buried to protect the planted trees from the wind.
The goal of tree-planting actions is to expand green belts, restore the ecological balance of the region, and promote the feeling of caring for nature among people.
It should be noted that within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World”, continuous tree planting actions are planned in the region.
